EverTransit AutoDispatch: A Faster, Easier Way to Manage Ride Assignments
Dispatching is one of the most time-sensitive parts of transportation operations. When a new ride comes in, dispatchers search for drivers accounting for availability, location, existing trips, and pickup timing.
EverTransit’s upgraded AutoDispatch service removes these issues. The updated feature automates the ride-assignment workflow while still giving dispatchers control when manual intervention is needed.
Simply put, based on your settings for time, distance and number of cycles, AutoDispatch automatically assigns newly created rides to available drivers. Once a driver accepts the system stops dispatching.
At any time, dispatchers retain the ability to override the automated process and manually assign a driver.
The system accounts for rides already in progress. Drivers cannot accept new rides during times when they are already completing another ride, helping reduce scheduling conflicts and making automated assignments more practical for day-to-day operations.
